As it was reported earlier, the 81^st Congress of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) took place in Japanese capital on October 18-20, 2016, within the framework of which there were held elections to the organization’s authorities.

In closing of the Congress, the names of persons awarded with honorary titles and rewards for their activity within the FIG structures were announced.

Farid Gayibov, Secretary General of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF), twice elected to the FIG Council (2008 and 2012), was awarded with the bronze distinction. Having been elected to the post of the Vice-president of the European Union of Gymnastics in 2013, F. Gayibov had to terminate his activity within the FIG Council.
