On December 26, a gala ceremony dedicated to the sporting achievements of 2022 was held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan. The event took place at Buta Palace and was attended by leaders of sports organizations and federations, media representatives, athletes, coaches, and other members of the sports community.
In his opening speech, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov noted that 2022 was a successful year for Azerbaijani sports. He congratulated federation officials, athletes, coaches, and the entire sports community on their achievements.
During the ceremony, the winners in various nominations were awarded based on the results of a three-stage survey. Representatives of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation were honored in the following categories:
