The 27th Azerbaijan and Baku Championships among Age Categories in Acrobatic Gymnastics held at “Milli Gimnastika Arenasi” (National Gymnastics Arena) have been summed up.
In total, 41 gymnasts demonstrated their skills in Balance, Dynamic and Combined exercises in the competitions attended by the country’s strongest Acrobatic gymnasts.
Women’s Pairs (youngsters – born in 2007-2016; pre-juniors – born in 2004-2010; seniors - born in 2007 and older), Men’s Pairs (pre-juniors – born in 2004-2010; seniors - born in 2007 and older), Mixed Pairs (pre-juniors – born in 2004-2010; seniors - born in 2007 and older) and Women’s Groups (youngsters – born in 2007-2016; pre-juniors – born in 2004-2010; juniors – born in 2003-2009) representing “Ocaq” Sports Club, Baku Gymnastics School, “Neftchi” Sports Club, Sumgayit Olympic Sports Complex and Specialized Olympic Reserve Children and Youth Sports School No.13 of Nizami district competed for the medals.
According to the new rules, athletes demonstrated their programs in an interesting and intense competition in Balance, Dynamic and Combined exercises.
It should be mentioned that the organization of the National Championships was also a test for our gymnasts before the upcoming competitions 12th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions to be held in our country.
Our gymnasts, which will represent representing Azerbaijan at major competitions, had the opportunity to test their new programs at the National Championships.
The events were held without participation of spectators with the special Authorization of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the current quarantine rules and sanitary epidemiological requirements applied in our country.
