13 June 2025
From June 13 to 15, the National Gymnastics Arena, Baku’s traditional competition venue, is once again hosting an international event. This time, the arena welcomes the FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup. Alongside Azerbaijan, top acrobats from Germany, India, Kazakhstan, China, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan are competing for victory.
During the three day competition, participants will showcase their skills in balance and dynamic routines across men's, women's, and mixed pairs, as well as men's and women's groups.
The first day of the competition is already behind us. Today, the women’s groups and women’s pairs performed their balance routines, while the men’s pairs presented their dynamic routines.
Azerbaijan is represented at the event by the women's group consisting of Anahita Bashiri, Zahra Rashidova, and Nazrin Zeyniyeva; the men’s pair of Murad Rafiyev and Daniel Abbasov; the men’s group made up of Seymour Jafarov, Riad Safarov, Rasul Seyidli, and Abdulla Al-Mashaykhi; and the mixed pair of Milana Aliyeva and Sabir Aghayev.
It should be noted that the competition, which began today, will conclude on June 15. As per tradition, the gymnasts with the highest execution scores at the end of the event will be awarded the “AGF Trophy.”
We wish all participants the best of luck and invite gymnastics fans to join us at the National Gymnastics Arena for the remaining days of this spectacular sporting event!
