Another competition in Acrobatic Gymnastics took place in the City of Geneva (Switzerland). Thus, after the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions, the World Championships in this discipline was held on July 2-4, 2021.

Our country was represented by Mixed Pair consisting of Aghasif Rahimov and Raziya Seyidli and Men's Pair - Murad Rafiyev and Daniel Abbasov.

This Championships was the first large-scale competition in which our acrobats participated during the pandemic. Aghasif and Raziya performed in other programs before, but as a pair, they join the competition this year. In this event, by showing their best results in Dynamic exercises, they ranked 7th.

Moreover, it should be mentioned that the three-time winners of the European Championships in the junior age group, our Men's Pair joined the senior program this year. In the competition, Murad Rafiyev and Daniel Abbasov showed their best results in Combined routine (9th place).

Our gymnast Aghasif experienced an interesting moment in the competition. Thus, the symbolic silhouette of the Azerbaijani acrobat was used in the design of the hall where the World Championships was held.
