From May 17-19, our gymnasts represented our country at the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup held in Maia, Portugal. In the finals, our athletes competed in the mixed routines program, concluding the competition with a total of 2 medals: 1 gold and 1 silver. The men's pair, consisting of Murad Rafiyev and Daniel Abbasov, secured the top spot on the podium and played our national anthem. Their performance was rated by the judges with a score of 28.160 points. The mixed pair represented by Agasif Rahimov and Raziya Seyidli took home the silver medal from the World Cup, earning 29.030 points for their performance in the finals.
Although they did not make it to the podium, our other gymnasts performed well, finishing in the upper ranks. The men's group, consisting of Riad Safarov, Abdulla Al-Mashaykhi, Seymur Jafarov, and Rasul Seyidli, claimed 4th place with a total score of 24.340 points. Additionally, the mixed pair of Milana Aliyeva and Sabir Agayev also showcased their skills at the World Cup, scoring 26.900 points and finishing in 7th place.
