According to the press service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, our 2 strongest gymnasts – Aliya Garayeva and Anna Gurbanova performed in the Apennines again.

It should be mentioned that Garayeva performs for the “Ritmica Piemonte” team competing in the “Serie A2”. In Pesaro, Aliya performed with a rope and received 26.275 points which became the best result among the gymnasts performing in the “Serie A2”.

So, her team has taken the 3rd place again and has a good chance before the final round (Turin, December 4) to be included into the “Serie A1”, where Gurbanova competes in.

As it was a year ago, Anna defends the colors of the “Ginnastica Commense 1872” club. She performed with two apparatus in this round. Our gymnast received the following points with a rope and a ball: 25.5 and 25.6 accordingly. Her club received 143.5 points in total and took the 6th place.

Prior to the final round in Turin, Gurbanova will set out for Croatia where the traditional international tournament to be held on November 26-28.
