AN AZERBAIJANI GROUP TEAM REACHED BOTH FINALS OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MOSCOW

Today, the prize-winners in double-team among the groups have been defined at the World Championships in rhythmic gymnastics in Moscow.

An Azerbaijani collective, consisting of Jeyla Guliyeva, Anastasiya Prasolova, Nigar Abdusalimova, Ayelita Khalafova, Stefani Trayanova and Yevgeniya Jidkova, was one of the first among 29 participating teams to appear on the floor of the “Olympiyskiy”. First, our gymnasts performed with 5 hoops accompanied by a romantic “Million alikh roz” (Million red roses) and received 25.475 points for it.

Our team’s second composition with 3 ribbons and 2 ropes, accompanied by a fiery “Lezginka”, brought 25.5 points to them. Thus, a group of six gymnasts gathered 50.975 points in total of two exercises and took the 7th place.

The Italian group is becoming an all-around champion second year in a row, “silver” was won by a Belarusian team, the third place by the championship’s hostess – Russia, which made mistakes in both exercises.

Tomorrow, there will be held separate finals among group teams at the World Championships where the Azerbaijani collective will also take part in.
