An Azerbaijani gymnast Anna Pavlova became the champion of the Artistic Gymnastics Challenge Cup held in Slovenia on April 19-20.

Following the qualification results, Pavlova reached the two finals of four possible ones - in the exercises on balance beam and uneven bars. If the horizontal apparatus five meters long and only ten centimeters wide resisted Anna’s acrobatic elements, jumps and 3600 turns, thus, bringing her to the 4th place, the flights above and under two bars of different heights became golden for our gymnast. Anna almost perfectly performed the combination on uneven bars and her final dismount left behind her main rivals from Belarus and Switzerland.

The country’s second gymnast, Marina Nekrasova, also competed in two finals (floor exercise and vault) and twice ranked the fourth.
