Our national team concluded the first day of the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship held in Budapest, Hungary, with a medal win. The young individual gymnasts of our national team—Gövher Ibrahimova (hoop/30.050), Shams Agahuseynova (ribbon/29.000), Ilaha Bahadirova (ball/29.850), and Fidan Qurbanli (clubs/28.500)—secured a total of 117.400 points, winning the bronze medal and finishing in 3rd place on the podium. Romania took the first place, while the Israeli team secured the second position. Additionally, all four of our young gymnasts continued their efforts with determination and earned the right to participate in the finals. Tomorrow, our senior individual gymnasts will showcase their skills in the Budapest arena.
It is important to note that the European Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics held in Budapest carries licensing significance for the Summer Olympic Games. Therefore, this championship holds special importance for the gymnastics community. We wish our national team members great success!
