"These are the fifth Championships in a row where our gymnasts make us happy with their performances", said the head coach of the National Team in Rhythmic Gymnastics, Mariana Vasileva.

According to her, these European Championships were more successful for Azerbaijani gymnasts than the previous one.

"Last time, our junior group won the bronze medals but we have the “silver" ones now,” she added.

M. Vasileva informed that there were two young, and, for the time being, inexperienced gymnasts within the team - Lala Yusifova and Marina Durunda. But having taken the 4th place, they managed to repeat the result of Anna Gurbanova and Aliya Garayeva, which they achieved at the last Championships.

"We are very glad as we gained two quotas for the next European Championships which takes place in Baku in 2014. Aliya Garayeva was the only participant last time. I am very happy and I express my grattitude to everybody who supported us", said Vasileva.
