Today started the competition of group teams in rhythmic gymnastics world championships in Mie, Japan.

According to press service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, the Azeri team consisting of Vafa Huseynova, Jeyla Guliyeva, Valeriya Yegay, Dina Gorina, Anastasiya Prasolova and Stefani Trayanova took the 4th place in the all-round final.

According to specialists, it is very good result. Azeri group team reached the final in both of two performances – with five hoops, and also with three ribbons and two ropes. Finals will be competed tomorrow.

President of Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation and head coach of Russian national team İrina Viner spoke about the result of Azeri group team:

“Excellent performance of Azeri team! Very good coach and ensemble. All the Russian delegation supported Azeri gymnasts. Two finals of two – what would be better? I wish Azeri team success and confidence. Don’t forget there is always a chance. Just take advantage of this at the right time and right place”
