Baku immersed in festival spirit once again

On June 28 and 29, the Seaside National Park in Baku came alive with the vibrant atmosphere of a gymnastics festival, as the 3rd Baku Gym for All Baku International Challenge took place. The two-day event was marked by colorful performances from both local and international participants.

Alongside Azerbaijani teams, delegations from Georgia, Mongolia, and Uganda also took part in the festival. In total, nearly 900 participants and 52 teams joined the event. Azerbaijan was represented not only by teams from the capital but also by participants from various regions of the country. The program, which included different age groups, featured zumba, hip-hop, national dances, and master classes, all of which drew great interest.

Participants showcased their talents in two age categories - under 50 and over 50. The official opening of the festival began with a grand parade of participants from the Baku Sports Palace to the main stage behind the Azerbaijan State Puppet Theatre. Accompanied by an orchestra, this march, along with the stage performances by the teams, created a true festive atmosphere for the audience. The performances from teams representing different regions highlighted the festival’s wide geographical scope and diversity.

In the evening, popular singer Mardan Kazimov took to the stage and elevated the festival’s joyful spirit even further. His rhythmic and energetic songs were met with great enthusiasm by the crowd.

The second day of the festival concluded with a lively Gala Show. Award ceremonies in categories such as “Best Costume,” “Best Performance,” “Oldest Participant,” “Youngest Participant,” and “Most Active on Social Media” became some of the highlights of the event. Additionally, participants who stood out in various categories were presented with diplomas.

This “Challenge” once again proved that gymnastics is not just a sport - it is a lifestyle accessible to everyone.
