Baku hosts first-ever international Trampoline gymnastics training camp

From July 28 to August 1, the first-ever international trampoline gymnastics training camp organized by European Gymnastics was held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. Initiated by European Gymnastics and hosted by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, the camp brought together athletes, coaches, and international experts from Azerbaijan, Italy, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Sweden.

The main goal of the training camp was to enhance the technical and physical preparedness of the participating gymnasts and strengthen their readiness for international competitions. The program also included training sessions in tumbling and double mini-trampoline disciplines.

Among the expert panel were Babette van Wetering, President of the European Gymnastics Trampoline Technical Committee; Vice President Luis Nunes; and other international experts including Samuel Castro, Anette Dalsten, Sergio Lucas, and Adil Huseynzada.

In addition to the sports-focused sessions, a cultural program was organized for the participants. Visiting gymnasts and experts had the opportunity to explore Baku’s most iconic sights, showcasing the city’s unique blend of historical heritage and modern development. They also gained insight into Azerbaijan’s rich history, architecture, and contemporary progress.
