The star ambassadors of the 35th Trampoline and Tumbling World Championships held in Baku-Karen Cockburn, a three-time Olympic medalist and World Champion in trampoline (Canada), and David Martin, a World and European Champion in trampoline (France)-expressed their admiration for the organization of the competition.
The ambassadors emphasized that Baku boasts a magnificent National Gymnastics Arena, providing excellent facilities for both training and competition. “The World Championships are very exciting. We are watching the performances of both well-known athletes and emerging talents. We are pleased to be in Baku for the World Championships and are proud to serve as star ambassadors for such a prestigious sporting event. I wish all participants the best of luck,” said Cockburn.
David Martin added: “The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has done a fantastic job organizing the competition. The athletes are provided with excellent conditions. The atmosphere at the National Gymnastics Arena is great, and we are happy to be here and to be part of this championship.”
He also noted that there will be rule changes in trampoline gymnastics next year, with more complex combinations to be introduced.
It should be noted that the 35th Trampoline and Tumbling World Championships are being held in Baku from November 18 to 21. The competition brings together nearly 300 gymnasts from 33 countries.
Over the course of four days, gymnasts are competing in individual and synchronized trampoline, tumbling, and double mini-trampoline events. Winners will also be determined in team all-around and team rankings for each program.
