According to the decision made at the meeting of the Executive Commitee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) held in Managua (Nicaragua) these days, the organization of the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships in 2022 has been entrusted to Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.

The Championships will take place at Milli Gimnastika Arenasi (National Gymnastics Arena) on March 11-13 for the first time. Prior to the event, the World Age group competitions will also be held in our capital city at the same competition venue on March 2-7.

Other major Championships await the Federation, which has been organizing large-scale international competitions for several consecutive years.

Thus, there are few weeks left for the most exciting major event of the year – the Rhyhmic Gymnastic World Championships to be held at Milli Gimnastika Arenasi on September 16-22. Next year, the Aerobic stars will gather to compete at the World Championships in our capital city (May 14-16). In 2021, another World Championships will be organized in Trampoline Gymnastics (November 11-14).
