On November 25, the 28th FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions officially started at the National Gymnastics Arena.
A grand Opening Ceremony was held on the first day of the competitions.
During the ceremony, the flags of the participating countries were displayed, and the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
An oath-taking ceremony was held on behalf of judges, coaches, and gymnasts. Azerbaijani gymnast Selcan Maqsudova took the oath on behalf of the athletes.
Following this, a special performance was presented with the participation of members of the national teams in various gymnastics disciplines.
On the first day of the competition, the qualification rounds were held in the following categories: tumbling (ages 15–16), double mini-trampoline (ages 17–21), individual trampoline routines (ages 13–14), and synchronized trampoline routines (ages 11–12).
In the second half of the day, the finals for these events are scheduled to take place.
It should be noted that the 28th FIG World Age Group Competitions, taking place from November 25 to 28, feature the participation of 650 athletes from 32 countries.
Athletes will compete in trampoline, tumbling, and double mini-trampoline events across the 11–12, 13–14, 15–16, and 17–21 age categories.
Gymnasts will perform routines in individual and synchronized trampoline, tumbling, and double mini-trampoline disciplines.
Azerbaijan is represented by 15 gymnasts at the competition. Competing in trampoline are Seljan Mahsudova, Mahsud Maqsudov, Ammar Bakhshaliyev, Ibrahim Mustafazadeh, Mehdi Aliyev, Nijat Mirzayev, Ali Niftaliyev, Shafiga Humbatova, and Sama Jafarova. In tumbling events, Tofig Aliyev, Adil Hajizadeh, Bilal Gurbanov, Huseyn Asadullayev, Aleksey Karatashov and Elnur Mammadov are participating.
