Milli Gimnastika Arenası (National Gymnastics Arena) - a favorite training and competition venue of foreign athletes for the last years, will reopen its doors to the well-known Rhythmic gymnasts.
Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has authorized the organization of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup on May 7-9, 2021, in accordance with the existing quarantine rules and sanitary-epidemiological requirements.
The Authorization of the organization of the World Cup, qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, became a long expected good news not only for the representatives of our country, but also for the gymnasts from foreign countries.
Azerbaijan will be represented by Zohra Aghamirova - the Silver medalist of the Summer Universiade, the Gold medalist of the Islamic Solidarity Games, a qualifier for the Olympic Games; Arzu Jalilova - a two-time winner of the Junior World Championships; team in group exercises - a three-time medalist of the last European Championships and owner of the ticket for Olympic Games.
In the World Cup, where representatives of 36 countries will compete in, 63 individual gymnasts and 106 gymnasts within 18 groups will demonstrate their performances. Leading gymnasts of the competition:
Representatives of Belarus – the Silver and Bronze medalist of the World and European Championships, the European Games, Olympic finalist - Katsiaryna Halkina; the winner of the European Games – team in group exercises.
Representatives of Bulgaria – the Silver medalist of the World Championships, the Silver medalist of the European Championships, the European Games - Katrin Taseva; the Silver medalist of the World Championships, the Bronze medalist of the European Championships - Boryana Kaleyn; multiple prizewinner of the World and European Championships, the European Games - team in group exercises.
Representatives of Israel - Linoy Ashram - multiple medalist of the World Championships, winner of the European Championships and the European Games; Nicol Zelikman – the Silver and Bronze medalist of the World Championships.
Representatives of Italy – the World Championships` Bronze medalist - Alexandra Agiurgiuculese; the Silver and Bronze medalist of the World Championships - Milena Baldassari; the winner of the World and European Championships - team in group exercises.
Representatives of Russia - winner of the Junior World Championships - Lala Kramarenko; a winner of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships - team in group exercises.
Representatives of Ukraine - the Silver medalist of the Junior European Championships - Viktoriia Onopriienko; multiple medalist of the last European Championships - team in group exercises.
Turkish representatives - Gold medalist of the last European Championships – team in group exercises.
USA representatives - Laura Zeng - multiple winner of the Pan American Games and Championships.
The representative of Brazil - Natalia Gaudio - multiple winner of the Pan American and South American Games and Championships.
