Rhythmic gymnastics training camp held

From October 14 to 18, an rhythmic gymnastics training camp organized by European Gymnastics took place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

The camp brought together group exercise teams in rhythmic gymnastics from Azerbaijan and Slovakia, along with their coaches and international experts. The experts included Anna Baranova and Sara Bayon, coaches of the French national rhythmic gymnastics team, as well as Yevgeniya Vilyayeva, a member of the European Gymnastics Technical Committee for Rhythmic Gymnastics.

During the training camp, the gymnasts took part in intensive sessions aimed at improving their technical and physical preparation, mastering new movement elements, and refining their performances to a higher level.

The main objectives of the camp were to ensure the participants’ professional preparation for international competitions, to strengthen their technical and physical potential, and to promote experience exchange between the participating countries. Such events are of great importance for both athletes and coaches in terms of enhancing their knowledge and skills.

In addition to the sports program, a cultural agenda was also organized for the participants. The visiting gymnasts and experts enjoyed excursions to some of Baku’s most notable landmarks, reflecting the city’s historical and modern identity, and learned in detail about Azerbaijan’s rich history, architecture, and rapid development.
