Our Rhythmic gymnast performs in the Final at the World Championships

The 39th FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships has started today in Sofia (Bulgaria). As reported, our country is represented by the members of our National Team - Zohra Aghamirova, Ilona Zeynalova & Alina Gozalova in the Individual program, while Gullu Aghalarzade, Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Zeynab Hummatova, Yelyzaveta Luzan and Darya Sorokina compete within the team in Group exercises.
On the first day of the competition, the gymnasts performed in the individual program with a Ball & a Hoop. Zohra Aghamirova - the leader of our team, participant of the Summer Olympic Games Tokyo-2020, two-time Silver medalist of the Summer Universiade, a four-time Gold, Silver & Bronze medalist of the Islamic Solidarity Games, performed successfully and qualified for the Finals in the exercises with a Hoop. Our athlete, receiving 31,150 points from the judges, completed her performance in the decisive stage on the 6th place. 
Tomorrow, the members of our team - Zohra Aghamirova & Ilona Zeynalova - will test their strength in Qualifications with Clubs & a Ribbon in the individual program.
It should be mentioned that on September 16, the National Teams in Group exercises will join the competitions. The members of our team, who are three-time Bronze winners of the European Championships, two-time Gold & Silver medalists of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, will execute their programs with 3 Ribbons & 2 Balls and with 5 Hoops as well.
