Our Rhythmic Gymnasts warmly welcomed in Shirvan

On July 21, members of the Azerbaijani National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team gave a demonstration performance at the Shirvan Olympic Sports Complex. Individual gymnasts Zohra Aghamirova, Ilona Zeynalova, Alina Mammadova, Medina Damirova, and Leman Ahmadli, as well as the group team members Gullu Aghalarzade, Leman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Zeynab Hummatova, Yelizaveta Luzan, and Darya Sorokina, presented their routines ahead of prestigious upcoming competitions. Their performances were also watched by Mariana Vasileva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event, held at the packed Shirvan Olympic Sports Complex, was met with great enthusiasm. The graceful and skillful performances of our gymnasts captivated the audience, who supported them with warm applause and loud cheers.

Continuously prioritizing the development of gymnastics in the regions, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) has already organized 3 competitions in the regions last year and one this year.

Undoubtedly, organizing gymnastics events, showcase performances, and masterclasses in the regions plays a significant role in improving athletes' professionalism, promoting the sport, and expanding its popularity.

It should be noted that our gymnasts will compete at the 31st Summer World University Games in Chengdu, China, from July 28 to August 8. Later, from August 23 to 27, both individual and group team members will test their skills at the World Championships in Valencia, Spain.
