On December 16, male and female Artistic gymnasts & Acrobatic gymnasts, determined the strongest of the capital at Heydar Aliyev Sports & Concert Complex. A total of 129 athletes demonstrated their skills at the 27th Joint Baku Championship in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics & Acrobatic Gymnastics, the 6th Baku Championship in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics among Age Categories.
Representatives of Ojaq Sports Club, Neftchi Sports Club, Baku Gymnastics School, “Karabakh” Sports Club (Barda), Specialized Children-Youth Gymnastics School of Olympic Reserves No.13, Specialized Children-Youth Sports Chess School No.1 of Olympic Reserves of Sumgait City Branch of “Tahsil” Republican Sports Center competed for the first place at the competition.
At the end of the interesting and intense event in Acrobatic Gymnastics, there were defined the winners among youngsters (born in 2007-2016) – Mixed Pairs, Women’s Pairs, Women’s Groups; children (born in 2006-2011) – Women’s Group; pre-juniors (born in 2004-2010) – Women’s Groups, Men’s Pairs, Women’s Pairs, Mixed Pairs; juniors (born in 2003-2009) – Women’s Groups.
Women’s Artistic gymnasts - minors (born in 2015), children (born in 2012-2013), juniors (born in 2007-2009), pre-juniors (born in 2010-2011) tested their strength on Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Floor Exercises.
Men’s Artistic gymnasts – minors (born in 2015), children (born in 2011-2012), youngsters (born in 2013-2014), pre-juniors (born in 2009-2010), juniors (2005-2008) won the title of champion by executing Floor Exercises & performing on Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, Horizontal Bar.
