Disciplinary Commission Decision

The Disciplinary Commission has issued its final decision in the course of the review conducted in relation to violations committed by Shams Soltanova, a coach in Rhythmic Gymnastics, during the performance of her professional duties.

According to the decision adopted by the Disciplinary Commission on 16 September 2026, S. Soltanova was found to have violated the requirements of the relevant applicable Rules of AGF during the performance of her professional duties. Accordingly, it was decided that she shall be restricted, for a period of six (6) months, from 16 September 2026 to 16 March 2027, from participating in official competitions organized by AGF, as well as in any other events organized or recognized by AGF.

According to the Decision, S. Soltanova may resume her activities at sports clubs or organizations recognized by AGF, as well as at sports clubs or organizations that may be recognized by AGF after the adoption of the Decision, provided that, prior to resuming such activities, she successfully completes at least two (2) online safeguarding training courses and participates in at least five (5) safeguarding awareness-raising meetings and discussions dedicated to ensuring a safe environment in gymnastics and protecting the dignity and personal integrity of participants. According to the Decision, the aforementioned training courses and meetings shall be organized by an authorized person of AGF upon an application submitted by S. Soltanova or by the relevant sports club or organization to AGF.

During the disciplinary proceedings, S. Soltanova ceased her professional coaching activities in the field of gymnastics. Should it be established that S. Soltanova has resumed her activities at a sports club or organization recognized by AGF without fulfilling the conditions specified in the Decision, her participation in official competitions organized by AGF, as well as in any other events organized or recognized by AGF, shall be restricted until all of the aforementioned conditions have been fully fulfilled.

The parties have been informed of their right to appeal the Decision in accordance with the requirements of Article 25 of the Disciplinary Rules.
