On the second day of the 39th FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships held in Sofia (Bulgaria), gymnasts demonstrated their skills with Ribbon and Clubs in the Individual program.
А member of our National Team - Zohra Aghamirova, participant of the Summer Olympic Games Tokyo-2020, two-time Silver medalist of the Summer Universiade, four-time Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist of the Islamic Solidarity Games, managing to reach the Finals (a Hoop) and ranking 6th yesterday, had a successful performance in Qualifications with a Ribbon. Having left behind a number of world’s strong gymnasts, our athlete ranked 4th (29,950). In the Final, our athlete finished on the 5th place. On September 17, she will test her strength in the All-Around competitions.
It should be mentioned that tomorrow, the National Teams in Group exercises will join the competitions. The members of our team, who are three-time Bronze winners of the European Championships, two-time Gold & Silver medalists of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, will execute their programs with 3 Ribbons & 2 Balls and with 5 Hoops as well.
