First winners of the World Cup determined

The first winners have been determined at the World Cup in artistic gymnastics held in Baku, which has captured the attention of gymnastics enthusiasts.

On March 9, the world's strongest male gymnasts showcased their routines in floor exercises, parallel bars, and rings, while the female gymnasts performed on vault and uneven bars. The competition, which served as a qualifier for the Olympic Games, concluded with a strong rivalry among star athletes.

The first victory went to Egor Shramkov, who competed under a neutral athlete status. Japan's Kazuki Minami won the silver medal, while Carlos Yulo from the Philippines took home the bronze.

In the men's parallel bars, Ukrainian Illya Kovtun celebrated victory. Jinqyuan Jou secured second place, and Anxel Baraxas from Colombia came in third.

In the rings event, China's Xiao Yu claimed the top spot. His teammate Jinqyuan Jou won the silver, and Samir Ait Said from France earned the bronze medal.

In the women's vault, Bulgaria's Valentina Georgiyeva won the gold medal. The Bulgarian world champion proved to be the strongest in both the qualification and final rounds. North Korea's Chang-Ok An took the silver, while Panama's Karla Navas secured the bronze.

In the uneven bars, Algeria's Kaylia Nemours won the gold medal. The athlete, who placed first in the qualification round, finished the World Cup with a victory. Italy's Eliza Iorio took the silver, and American Katelin Young rounded out the top three.

Athletes who collected the highest execution scores in the qualification round were awarded the AGF Trophy. The trophy for the men's competition was awarded to Azerbaijan national team athlete Ivan Tikhonov. In the women's competition, the AGF Trophy was presented to China's Siu Du.
