The Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup to be held in Baku will be a true test for representatives of this Olympic sport. Gymnasts from 32 countries will take part in the competition, with Azerbaijan represented by both experienced and young athletes. A clear example of this is European Championship silver medalist Nikita Simonov, who won a silver medal on the rings at the World Cup stage held in Cottbus, Germany.
World stars of artistic gymnastics will also compete in the tournament. Among them is Milad Karimi, a bronze medalist of the 2023 World Championships held in Antwerp, Belgium. The Kazakh gymnast also won a gold medal in the floor exercise at the 2025 World Cup in Cottbus.
Legendary and highly experienced Olympic champion Oksana Chusovitina will also perform in Baku. At 49 years old and already included in the Guinness World Records, the Uzbek gymnast has long been considered one of the symbols of world gymnastics.
The list of Olympic champions also includes Eleftherios Petrounias, known for his legendary performances on the rings; Tin Srbić, a World champion on the horizontal bar and Olympic medalist; and Filip Ude, the silver medalist of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
Alongside them, Kaylia Nemour, gold medalist of the Paris 2024 Olympics, as well as World Championship winners and medalists Carlos Yulo and Nariman Kurbanov, European champion Carlo Macchini, and Olympic medalist Chih-Kai Lee will compete for top honors.
In short, an exciting and highly competitive tournament awaits us.
