“Novruz” traditions are showcased within the framework of the international event

Today, Azerbaijan celebrates “Yel Chershenbesi”. On the eve of Novruz Holiday, Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) organized a holiday event at “Milli Gimnastika Arenasi” (National Gymnastics Arena) for local athletes, foreign representatives and participants of the 28th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships to be held in Baku on March 10-13.
During the celebration, Novruz traditions have been showcased within the framework of the international event. A festive bonfire was lit in the yard of “Milli Gimnastika Arenasi”. The guests jumped over it. Azerbaijani national songs and dances were performed at the event. Famous Novruz characters “Kechel” and “Kosa” showed various games and performed scenes coming out from national traditions. The foreign guests expressed their pleasure from being a part of the celebration of the national holiday in Azerbaijan.
