The European Championships in Aerobic Gymnastics has come to the end in Portuguese Elvas city.

For the first time, Azerbaijan was represented at the continent’s Championships in this gymnastics discipline, the development of which commenced in our country just in 2013.

At first, Vladimir Dolmatov performed at the men’s individual events. He took the 13^th place among 20 competitors with 20.150 points.

Afterwards, a group consisting of Aynur Jabbarli, Vladimir Dolmatov, Vera Bosykh, Elcin Mammadov and Timur Alekperov joined the competitions. The team reached the final where ranked 6^th. Our representatives’ performance was assessed in 19.269 points by the judges.

It should be reminded that the group had taken the 10^th place with 17.383 points in qualification of aerobics events of the 1^st European Games in Baku.

We congratulate aerobics fans and hope that our representatives will progress with such a pace in future as well.
