The World Age Group Competitions among juniors start in Baku in a few days

In a week, our country will host another international competition.

Next week, Milli Gimnastika Arenasi (National Gymnastics Arena) will open its doors to pre-junior and junior aerobic gymnasts.

It should be mentioned that the Aerobic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions are held in our country for the first time. In 2019, Baku hosted the European Championships in this gymnastics discipline.

202 gymnasts from 18 countries are expected to participate in the event to be held on May 21-23, 2021.

Gymnasts will compete within two age groups - 12-14 and 15-17. By competing in the Qualifications on the first two days of the competition, the gymnasts will determine the finalists among themselves.

Athletes in both age categories will perform in the program of Individual Women and Individual Men, as well as within Mixed Pairs, Trios, Groups in the Qualifications and Finals. In addition, 15-17-year-old gymnasts will test their strength in the Aero Dance program.

The competitions will start every day at 12:00. The event will finish with the Opening Ceremony at 16:30 on the first day of the competitions, while the event will be completed at 16:12 and 18:03 on the second day and last day accordingly.

It should be mentioned that in accordance with the requirements of existing quarantine, the World Age Group Competitions will be held without spectators.
