The European Championships in Artistic Gymnastics has started in Munich (Germany). First, female gymnasts joined the competitions. At this competitions, Azerbaijan was represented by - Nazanin Teymurova, Duyghu Majidzade, Milana Minakovskaya, Samira Gahramanova. Nazanin Teymurova showed the best result among our athletes. Our gymnast successfully performed on Vault, and, for the first time in history of Azerbaijani Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, qualified for the Finals among juniors.
Nazanin also remembered as the first Azerbaijani gymnast to reach the final stage of the European Championships in this Gymnastics discipline. According to the final results, our athlete completed the Continental Championships on the 5th place.
It should be mentioned that the members of our National Team among seniors - Milana Minakovskaya & Samira Gahramanova - will leave Munich for Konya (Turkey) tomorrow in order to participate in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games. Our athletes will compete at the Games on August 17 & 18.
