The 14th European Aerobic Gymnastics Championship among seniors is being held on

November 14–16 at the Ganja Sports Palace. This prestigious event is considered another confirmation of Ganja’s strong sports traditions and its high potential in organizing international events.

A total of 151 gymnasts from 18 countries are participating in the competition. The athletes are showcasing their skills in individual, Trio, Group, Mixed pair, and Aerodance categories. The first two days of the championship were marked by qualification rounds, while the final day –November 16 – promises to be the most exciting, hosting the finals.

The opening ceremony, which took place today, was held with special grandeur. First, the flags of the participating countries were presented on stage. Then, the Head of the Ganja City Executive Authority, Niyazi Bayramov, and Vice-President of European Gymnastics, Edward Kolar, delivered speeches highlighting the importance of the championship, Ganja’s growing role in the global sports arena, and the contribution of such events to international cooperation.

After the opening ceremony, a performance titled The Treasury of Nizami was presented. Dedicated to the immortal works of Nizami Ganjavi, this artistic composition, enriched with colorful music, dance, and visual effects, created unforgettable moments for the audience. By blending the city's cultural heritage with the spirit of the competition, the performance added a special atmosphere to the event.

Following that, the athletes began their first routines, demonstrating their professionalism, physical preparation, and artistic abilities in the individual program. Throughout the competition, both a sense of rivalry and a festive atmosphere could be felt in the arena.

It should be noted that the European Championship will conclude on November 16.
