Spectacular sporting excitement concludes in Ganja

From November 14 to 16, the ancient city of Ganja hosted yet another prestigious event. The 14th European Aerobic Gymnastics Championship among seniors successfully came to an end.

Over the course of three days, 151 gymnasts from 18 countries showcased their performances in various categories: Individual, Mixed pair, Trio, Group, and Aerodance.
At the end of the second qualification day, team awards were presented. Italy claimed 1st place, Romania 2nd place, and Spain took 3rd place.

Based on the results of the second qualification day, the gymnasts earned spots in the finals. Among the finalists was our Mixed pair – Madina Mustafayeva and Vladimir Dolmatov.
During the final day, performances of all finalists across every category were showcased, and the best athletes earned the title of European Champion.

Our favorite aerobic gymnastics pair, Madina Mustafayeva and Vladimir Dolmatov, became European Champions by securing 1st place.

Throughout the championship, both athletes and spectators demonstrated unity. The shared enthusiasm of teams and fans highlighted team spirit and solidarity throughout the event. The audience’s support gave athletes extra motivation and made the championship even more memorable.

In conclusion, all delegations, athletes, and spectators who visited our country emphasized that Ganja and the Ganja Sports Palace are beautiful and modern, and that the people are warm and hospitable. They also noted the great importance given to gymnastics and the excellent organization of the event.

Throughout the championship, the mascot of European Gymnastics, Luigi, supported and motivated the athletes, while also engaging the spectators in fun activities.

We congratulate the champions and wish them success in future competitions!
