Within the framework of the Special Olympics World Summer Games, taking place in Berlin (Germany), there were held Rhythmic Gymnastics competitions on June 17-21. Rhythmic gymnast - Mehriban Taghiyeva - represented our country at the competition for the first time in history of Azerbaijani Gymnastics.
Opening a new chapter in history of Gymnastics, our gymnast won the Gold medal with a Ball, while she took the 3rd place with Clubs, a Hoop & in the All-Around of her division.
This successful achievement is the result of her efficient trainings within a short period of time & willpower. It should be mentioned that the performances of our athlete were also highly valued by international experts.
