A weekend of 31 medals


The competition season continues to be highly successful for our gymnasts! Once again, our national team has proven its strength, bringing us fantastic news of 31 medals from three different international competitions held on the same day.
From May 31 to June 2, at the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup in Rzeszów, Poland, our national team secured 1 gold and 2 bronze medals:
Mixed Pair – Agasif Rahimov & Raziya Seyidli claimed gold with 29.280 points, leaving all their rivals behind.
Men’s Pair – Daniel Abbasov & Murad Rafiyev won bronze with 27.400 points.
Men’s Group – Riad Safarov, Abdulla Al-Maşaykhi, Rasul Sayidli & Seymur Jafarov also took bronze with 27.480 points.
At the same event and location, our gymnasts achieved more victories in another acrobatic gymnastics international competition:
Women’s Group – Nazrin Zeyniyeva, Anahita Bashiri & Zahra Rashidova dominated the event, scoring 28.400 points to secure gold, proudly raising our national flag.
Another Women’s Group, consisting of Diana Mammadova, Safiya Babayeva & Firuza Gasımzada, finished second, earning the silver medal with 26.850 points.
Meanwhile, on June 1-2, our rhythmic gymnasts competed at the "Montenegro Cup" international tournament in Budva, finishing the event with 13 gold, 6 silver, and 7 bronze medals!
In the senior category:
•    Madina Damirova won 3 gold medals (all-around, ribbon, clubs) and 2 silver medals (hoop, ball).
•    Zahra Jafarova secured 2 bronze medals (hoop, ribbon).
In the junior category:
•    Shams Müvaffagi claimed 1 gold (ball), 3 silver (all-around, clubs, ribbon), and 1 bronze (hoop).
•    Madina Abbasli earned 4 bronze medals (all-around, ball, clubs, ribbon).
•    Nilufar Orujlu (B category) took 2 gold medals (hoop, ball).
 In the pre-junior category:
•    Maryam Baloghlanova captured 3 gold medals (hoop, ball, clubs) and 1 silver (clubs).
•    Nur Sadiqova dominated her category with 4 gold medals (hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon).
