Weekend competitions

 

From April 5 to 7, the first international tournament, “Tallinn Open,” was held in Tallinn, Estonia, for rhythmic gymnastics.

At the tournament, our senior group team members—Güllü Ağalarzadə, Kamilla Əliyeva, Yelizaveta Luzan, Darya Sorokina, Ləman Əlimuradova, and Zeynəb Hümmətova—secured two gold medals in their routines with 5 hoops, 3 ribbons, and 2 balls.

The representatives of the most graceful discipline of gymnastics showcased their performances in the individual program with hoop, ribbon, clubs, and ball. Our junior team members İlahə Bahadirova won a gold medal in the ball routine, while Gövhər İbrahimova achieved a gold medal in the clubs routine.

Another representative of our team, Şəms Ağahüseynova, earned a silver medal for her ribbon performance. Additionally, Gövhər İbrahimova also won a silver medal for her performance with clubs.

This weekend, our gymnasts participated in two more competitions.

From April 5 to 7, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, at the international competition “36th Mtm Narodni Dom Ljubljana,” our junior team members Sofiya Məmmədova and Səkinəxanım İsmayılzadə competed and qualified for the finals.

The second competition took place in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Our national team’s senior individual gymnasts Leyli Ağazadə and Kamilla Seyidzadə participated in the international tournament called “Sofia Cup,” held from April 4 to 7.
