The second day of the Artistic Gymnastics competitions within the framework of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya (Turkey) was successful for the members of the Azerbaijani National Team. Our representatives, competing in the Apparatus Finals won 1 “Gold”, 1 “Silver”, 1 Bronze medal for our team.
Ivan Tikhonov won the country’s first “Gold” in Gymnastics discipline at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games. He left behind all his rivals with a big difference (14,550 points) on Vault. Our representative also won the Bronze medal (14,000) on Horizontal Bar. 
It should be mentioned that, our gymnast successfully performed in the All-Around competitions and brought the Silver medal to the medal box of our team yesterday.
Today, Nikita Simonov became the Silver medalist (14,850 points) for his execises on Rings.
The representatives of Azerbaijan completed the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games with 1 Gold, 2 Silver & 1 Bronze medal in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics events.
We would like to inform you that our country is represented in 4 Gymnastics disciplines (Rhythmic Gymnastics, Aerobic Gymnastics, Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics) at the Games.
It should be noted that in Konya-2021, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Aerobic Gymnastics competitions will be held on August 13 & 14, while Women’s Artistic Gymnastics events will take place on August 17 & 18.
