The rhythmic gymnastics competitions held as part of the Republican Schoolchildren’s Sports Olympiad have come to an end.

The event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was held with the support of Baku City Circuit Operations Company and the relevant sports federations. Over the course of two days, young gymnasts representing sports schools from across the country showcased their skills and competed for top honours.

A total of 60 gymnasts representing Sumgayit Specialized Olympic Reserve Children and Youth Sports School (Sumgayit SOCRCYSS), Ganja Children and Youth Sports School (Ganja CYSS), Shusha Children and Youth Sports School (Shusha CYSS), Zagatala Children and Youth Sports School (Zagatala CYSS), Baku Gymnastics School (BGS), and Republican Complex Sports School (RCSS) took part in the competition.

On the second day, gymnasts in Groups A and B performed their routines, with the all-around champions determined based on their overall results.

Overall, 30 young gymnasts were awarded medals during the two-day competition.
The rhythmic gymnastics competitions concluded successfully, highlighting the talent, determination, and sporting spirit of the participants while making a valuable contribution to the development of young gymnastics in Azerbaijan.
