On October 6 & 7, Open Azerbaijan and Baku Aerobic Gymnastics Championships Among Age Categories were organized at Milli Gimnastika Arenası (National Gymnastics Arena).

More than 200 gymnasts together with the representatives of “Ojag Sport” and “AyUlduz” clubs, gymnasts from Bulgaria, Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine tested their strength at the competitions.

The athletes, aged  7-8, 9-11,12-14, 15-17, 18 and older, demonstrated their skills in the programs of Individual Women, Individual Men, Mixed Pairs, Trios and Groups.

Our local gymnasts shared the podium with the representatives of neighboring countries in the tournament where the rivalry and excitement were at the highest level. Specifically, Russian team, which joined the tournament with the biggest composition, prevailed among the prize-winners.

During the performances, the audience also distinguished itself with their active participation. The foreign guests, visited our counry to support their gymnasts, as well as our local spectators applauded and cheered the athletes in the course of their 2-day performances.
