OUR GYMNAST BECOMES THE THIRD IN FRANCE

Anna Gurbanova has become a bronze medalist of the World Cup in rhythmic gymnastics held in Corbeil-Essonnes (France).

According to the press service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, four separate finals took place in the competitions’ decisive day. And Gurbanova also acquired a right to take part in three of them.

She showed her worth more successfully in an exercise with a ball where she won the 3rd place having received 27.25 points from the judges.

“I have always demonstrated good performances with a ball and this apparatus have awarded me several times. It is appropriate to remember, here, the last year’s European Championships in Baku when I became the 3rd with a ball. Here, I took the 4th place with a ribbon, and the 7th places with a hoop and in the all-around. So, I have a good start prior to the forthcoming events in Spain and Belarus,” our gymnast said.

It should be mentioned that two first places were won by a Bulgarian Silvia Miteva and a Belarusian Anna Ryabtseva.

According to the results of four performances, country’s another gymnast Samira Mustafayeva took the 29th place among 54 competitors, having received 95.3 points.

The next competition, where Anna Gurbanova will take part in, is the Spanish Grand Prix in Marbella to be held on May 15-16. Along with the last World Cup’s bronze medalist, the last European Championships’ bronze medalist Aliya Garayeva will perform there as well.
