For the first time, the Ministry of Youth and Sports prepared the ranking of athletes of National Teams.
It is gratifying that the Azerbaijani Rhythmic Gymnastics National Team in Group exercises took the 2nd place in the list based on its successful results (1 “Gold”, 1 “Silver”) at the World Cup held in Baku from April 22-24.
It should be mentioned that the rating points are calculated in accordance with the rules established by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. International competitions in sports disciplines are divided into 5 categories according to their rating and points are calculated as per to the places taken at these competitions. 
The rating coefficient is calculated primarily for Olympic sports disciplines (among seniors).
The ranking prepared in accordance with the “Regulation on the calculation of the rating coefficient of athletes of the Republic of Azerbaijan” will be updated every month and will be reflected in the scores & rating positions of athletes and teams.
The rating points of the athletes will not be reset in the transition to the next calendar year and the results of the last 12 months will remain active on the schedule. For example, when calculating an athlete’s rating coefficient on February 1, 2023, his/her results for the last 12 months (February 1, 2022 - January 31, 2023) will be taken into account.
Priority will be given to athletes having successfully performed at the Olympic Games. After that, depending on sports discipline, the results of the World, European Championships & other competitions will be taken into account.
Also, stability is extremely important in this ranking. An athlete performing consistently throughout the year may be higher in the rankings than one, even if he is older.
