Rhythmic gymnasts’ competitions within the framework of Azerbaijan Championship and jumpers’ events within Azerbaijan and Baku Championship among Age Categories came to an end at Milli Gimnastika Arenası (MGA, National Gymnastics Arena) on May 14.

There were held apparatus finals among juniors at the competitions in Rhythmic Gymnastics. In these finals, a strong rivalry were mainly observed among Ilaha Mammadova (1^st place – a ball, clubs; 2^nd place – a rope, a hoop), Zohra Aghamirova (1^st place – a rope, a hoop; 2^nd place – a ball; 3^rd place – clubs), Veronika Hudis (2^nd place - clubs), Darya Farshbafshahriyari (2^nd place – a hoop; 3^rd place – a ball) and Darya Sorokina (3^rd place - a rope).  

Girls Ilaha Mammadova, Veronika Hudis, Zohra Aghamirova and Darya Sorokina will take part in the juniors’ most important event of the year – in the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships to be held in Israeli Holon city on June 17-19.

The competitions in Trampoline Gymnastics continued  with a contest of men within one age group and within four age groups among women. There were distinguished Huseyn Abbasov (children) among men, Sviatlana Makshtarova (seniors), Seljan Mahsudova (pre-juniors), Kamilla Rasulova (children) and Violetta Sorokina (minors) among women.

Gymnasts beautified the floor with their eye-catching performances at traditional Gala-concert at the end of the tournament.
