On October 14-16, there were held the 1st FIG Parkour World Championships in Tokyo (Japan). With a participation of the athletes from 39 countries, Azerbaijani National Team was also represented at the competitions. A member of our National Team - Israfil Aliyev, tested his strength in the “Freestyle” & “Speed”, while Mirali Miriyev performed only in the “Freestyle”.

It should be mentioned that Parkour was officially included into the activity of the international organization at the 82nd FIG Congress held in Baku (2018). Afterwards, within the framework of the Congress, there were held Introductory Courses in our country, in which representatives of Azerbaijan also participated in.

In 2019, with the first representation of our athletes at the FIG World Cup held in Montpellier (France), AGF officially included Parkour into its activity.
