THE AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL TEAM WINS THE “BRONZE” IN A TEAM COMPETITION

On the competitions’ fourth day, the Azerbaijani national team has won the bronze medal in a team competition at the World Championships in rhythmic gymnastics in Moscow.

The fourth day’s competitions with a ball were opened by an Azerbaijani gymnast Samira Mustafayeva. Her point for exercises with a ball constituted 25.2 points. Mustafayeva received 101.25 points in total of four performances.

Performing after her team-mate, Anna Gurbanova earned 26.1 points for the same exercises. After performances with all four apparatus, her total point is 104.9 points.

Finally, the national team’s leader Aliya Garayeva, proved her reputation and brilliantly managed with a ball having received 27.625 points. Aliya Garayeva gathered 109.375 points in total within four days of competitions.

As a result, the Azerbaijani gymnasts, jointly received 265.225 points which enabled the country’s team to take the third place having lost only to Russia and Belarus.

Thus, Azerbaijan again wins “bronze” in a team competition as it was in Patras (2007) and Mie (2009)!
