This time Baku hosts FIG Int’l Judges’ Courses in Rhythmic Gymnastics

The International Judges’ Courses in Rhythmic Gymnastics of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) have started in Baku.

The courses will be held in Azerbaijan’s capital on January 26-30.

Addressing the opening, FIG representative Eunice Lebre welcomed the participants, introduced the members of the organizing committee and thanked the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) for the excellent organization.

“I would like to thank Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for the excellent organization and wish success to judges, ”Lebre said.

Afterwards, AGF Secretary General Farid Gayibov addressed the event. He welcomed the course participants, wished them success and expressed hope that the courses will be held successfully.

“These courses are being held for the first time in Azerbaijan and the FIG Intercontinental Judges’ Courses were also held for the first time here in the previous week,” Gayibov noted . “You will have a very difficult week, but I hope you will also be able to find time to enjoy the sights of Baku.”

Fifty-eight judges and 17 federations are taking part in the courses. Twenty judges are presenting Azerbaijan in the courses.
