Our rising tricolor flag, national Anthem and a sense of pride

The “AGF Trophy” international tournament, which kicked off yesterday in our capital, is ongoing.
On the second day of the competition, the all-around events in the individual program concluded. Today, junior and senior gymnasts showcased their skills with clubs and ribbon.

The competition was marked by strong performances from our gymnasts, who claimed 2 gold and 3 silver medals.
The first medal for our country came from the junior team, with Shams Agahuseynova and Nuray Ahmadzada securing second place in the team standings. They became the first medalists of the tournament with a well-deserved silver.

In the senior all-around competition, Zohra Aghamirova outperformed all her rivals, while Alina Gozelova took second place. Together, Zohra and Alina also brought home the gold in the team standings.

Our senior group team performed their routine with 3 ribbons and 2 balls.

Tomorrow, individual and group finals in various apparatus for both age categories will be held.
In the senior individual program, our experienced gymnast Zohra Aghamirova has qualified for the finals in all apparatus. Alina Gozelova will compete in the ribbon and hoop finals, while Leyli Aghazada will take part in the clubs final.

In the junior individual program, Nuray Ahmadzada will represent us in hoop and ribbon, Shams Agahuseynova and Sofiya Mammadova in ball, and Nazrin Abdullayeva in clubs.

Our junior group team will compete in the 5 balls and 5 ropes routines, while the senior group team will perform with 5 hoops and with 3 ribbons and 2 balls.

This year marks the third edition of the “AGF Trophy” international tournament held in our country, with participation from 119 gymnasts representing 14 countries. A total of 38 gymnasts are representing Azerbaijan in the tournament.

The competition will conclude tomorrow.
