An Azerbaijani gymnast Zeynab Javadli won the silver medal at the international tournament held in Croatia the day before.
According to the press service of the country’s gymnastics Federation, 17-year-old sportswoman of Baku took the second place in total of performances with a rope, a hoop, clubs and a ribbon having received 63.635 points. Vera Sesina from Russia became the winner, Anna Marii Zjelimorski from Croatia won the bronze medal.
“If the finals with separate apparatus had been included into the competition program, I would have mounted the podium at least twice,” Zeynab Javadli said with a part of regret in her voice at Pleso airport in Zagreb.
“But it does not mean that I am not contended with my only award, by no means. The tournament in Zagreb became the last for me this year, so I am completing it in a cheerful mood.”
We would like to remind you that Javadli had become the bronze medalist of the World Championships among clubs held in Tokyo and had taken the 5th place at the Grand Prix final in Bratislava not long ago.
