Star athletes of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup

The "Artistic Gymnastics World Cup" to be held in Baku will be a true test for the representatives of this Olympic sport. Azerbaijan will be represented in the tournament by both experienced and young gymnasts. Nikita Simonov and Ivan Tikhonov have extensive experience on the international stage. Simonov, a Silver medalist at the European Championship, proved his talent by winning a Silver Medal in the Rings competition at the World Cup stage in Cottbus, Germany.

From March 6 to 9, gymnasts from 37 countries will showcase their skills at the Milli Gymnastics Arena. The tournament will feature world stars of Artistic Gymnastics, including Milad Karimi, the Bronze Medalist of the 2023 World Championships held in Antwerp, Belgium. The Kazakh gymnast also won a Gold Medal in the floor exercise event at this year’s World Cup in Cottbus.

High expectations are also placed on American gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik. He is a two-time Bronze Medalist in the team All-around and Pommel Horse exercises at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, as well as the 2021 World Champion.

The legendary and highly experienced Olympic champion Oksana Chusovitina will also compete in Baku. At 49 years old, the Uzbek gymnast, who has winned a place in the Guinness World Records, recently won a Bronze Medal at the World Cup in Cottbus, Germany.

In short, an intense and competitive tournament awaits us. Our role is to enjoy the competition and support our athletes. May the strongest win!
