Costa Rican coach: We feel at home here

The Press Service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation presents an interview with Costa Rican coach in Rhythmic gymnastics, Natalia Brenes, who visited our country for a training camp:

Hello. My name is Natalia Brenes, I am a coach and judge of the Costa Rican team.

Is this your first visit to Baku?
N. Brenes:
Yes, this is my first visit to Baku.

Have you toured the city?
N. Brenes:
Yes, a few days ago we went for a walk in Baku. Your city is very beautiful, we liked it very much. I loved Baku very much.

We would like to ask why you chose Azerbaijan, Milli Gimnastika Arenasi (National Gymnastics Arena) for the training camp.
N. Brenes: It was our dream to come here. Because you have a very good Rhythmic gymnastics team. Rhythmic gymnastics is strong here. That is why, it is very important for us to be here as representatives of Costa Rica. Of course, this is also a great opportunity for us.

In which competitions will the Costa Rican gymnasts take part in?
N. Brenes:
We will participate in two major competitions on American continent. One of them is the Pan-American Youth Games to be held in Cali (Colombia) in November this year. One of our junior gymnasts will take part in it. Next year, the Central American Games will be held with the participation of our senior team. Therefore, the training camp here is very important for us.

Are you content with the conditions created at Milli Gimnastika Arenasi?
N. Brenes:
Of course, we are very pleased. The arena is very large, equipped with all facilities. For us, the conditions here is the matter of far future.

How many gymnasts are involved in the training camp?
N. Brenes:
3 gymnasts take part in the training camp: 1 junior and 2 senior gymnasts. They are very happy and excited to train here and work with Azerbaijani coaches. We feel at home.
