Winner of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup held in Azerbaijan on Parallel Bars & Vault, representing the Philippines - Yulo Carlos Edriel, shared his joy of victory with the Press Service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF):
- I had been preparing for this competition since the end of last year. It should be mentioned that my training was continuous and I did not take a break. On the first Finals’ Day, I was a bit nervous and anxious before the event, as my rivals were strong. One of my main opponents on Parallel Bars was representative of Ukraine - Illia Kovtun. I don’t know how I won, but I can say that I did my best to win. I think the difficulty of my program helped me to win. The upcoming World Championships will be qualifying for the Olympic Games. In order to qualify for the Olympics, I have to perform successfully.
