Today, the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has commenced its work in Baku. At this meeting, held within the framework of the FIG Congress to take place on December 2 & 3, the FIG President – Morinari Watanabe, the presidents of the Continental Unions and FIG Technical Committees in gymnastics disciplines, the members of the Executive Committee and several other official delegates participated in.
According to the agenda of 2-day meetings, there will be discussed possible changes to the FIG Statutes, inclusion of new gymnastics discipline to the federation`s program, and other important issues.
It should be mentioned that following the FIG Executive Committees` meetings, there will be started the meetings of the FIG highest Authority - Congress - on December 2. A participation of 240 delegates from 111 countries in total is expected in the Congress, where the important decisions about gymnastics will be taken.
